There's nothing especially original about spoofing Pimp My
Ride, or having a white person awkwardly emulate urban slang (and out-of-date slang, I might add). Despite this,
the Unpimp Your Ride commercials from Volkswagen still work, and it's because of Swedish actor Peter
Stormare, who is probably most recognizable for his roles in two Coen Brothers films, Fargo and The Big
Lebowski. His deadpan turn as an eccentric German auto engineer makes what shouldn't be a very good ad
campaign quite hysterical.Ads We Love: Volkswagen's Unpimp Your Ride

(Page 1)2. Stormare Satan's in "Constantine" had to be the wildest and hammiest portrayal of the devil ever.

4. the message of this commercial:
Volkswagen = Nazi
Especially degrading was the portrayal of a black dude as a dufus who can't even speak english.
Next they will bring a Hitler Impersonater just to make sure all smart, upscale, white supremicists get the message.

1. For a couple of weeks, they have been circulating around the net, and it's utterly justified. There are so many details that distance this ad from other spoofs... BRILLIANT
